e2v launches Qormino™, its ultra-compact integrated processing solution
e2v launches Qormino™, a new product line of innovative embedded solutions. Qormino™ combines a QorIQ™ processor and memory on the same small substrate which facilitates simplification of electronic designs and allows space savings on the printed circuit board (PCB).
The first product of the Qormino™ family is the QT10A that integrates an NXP QorIQ™ T1040 processor with a unique formation of DDR3L memory. The result is an embedded processing solution that offers 1GB of RAM and 50% space savings compared to standard PCB alternatives.
Using state-of-the-art assembly techniques, e2v mount the key components onto a custom substrate designed to retain all of the processor’s high-speed communication interfaces. To counter common component obsolescence issues, the QT10A is offered with a supply guarantee of at least 15 years.
Qormino™ leverages the QorIQ™ scalability, allowing it to be customised for multiple applications. The QT10A operates at a commercial and industrial grade for networking, assembly and test, medical, aerospace and embedded systems applications.

Qormino™ will be previewed at the Aerospace TechDays in Lyon, France, April 2016. The world’s first public demonstration will be at NXP FTF in Austin, Texas on May 16th.
