e2v supports The Big Conversation at WorldSkills London 2011

Keith Attwood, CEO of e2v, the provider of technology solutions for high performance systems, attended WorldSkills London to take part in the Big Conversation, an inspirational discussion between young people in full time education, apprentices, and Chief Executives.

The WorldSkills London 2011 Competition took place over four days, between 5th – 8th October, at ExCeL London, where over 1,000 of the most skilled young people from all over the world competed in 46 different skills.

The Big Conversation provided an opportunity for young people to ask Keith questions about his career path, current role and the diversity of roles within e2v’s business. Daniel Clay, e2v apprentice and Havering College 2010 apprentice of the year, attended alongside Keith to provide insight on the benefits of an apprenticeship from his own experience. Daniel took an active role in the discussions, taking centre stage for 20 minutes to respond to questions.

Daniel Clay, e2v apprentice said, “The Big Conversation is a unique opportunity to inspire and encourage young people who are looking to further their skills and gain advice on their future. It was a great experience for me and I hope I was able to help and encourage more school leavers to think about apprenticeships as a career option.”
