e2v opens 2013 engineering apprenticeship scheme

On Friday 22nd February e2v opened its doors to over 130 visitors, introducing young people and their families to e2v’s apprenticeship scheme.
A number of e2v’s current apprentices were on hand to explain exactly what the scheme entails and to show off some of the company’s technology.
e2v’s 3-year apprenticeship scheme offers hands-on industry experience, with a structured development plan and day release to achieve relevant qualifications for your chosen career path.
There is also the opportunity to progress through HNC and beyond to a sponsored degree course.
Chris Borrett, 2nd year apprentice, commented “We had a really busy day, with loads of genuine interest in what we did. I explained some of the work I have been doing, and some of the more unusual things I have been involved in, including showing my work to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister when they visited us last year”.
Nina Hicks, HR Advisor added “We are very proud of our long-running apprenticeship scheme and the high calibre apprentices we have coming through.” Adding “With up to 15 engineering apprenticeships available this year, competition for places is going to be high, so we would encourage people to get their applications in early.”
Application forms for the scheme can be downloaded from e2v’s website.
