e2v launches www.argusdirect.com, their new website for Argus thermal imaging cameras.

e2v, the experts in thermal imaging technology, today unveiled a new website for their Argus thermal imaging camera. www.argusdirect.com is e2v’s dedicated website for it’s Argus range of cameras, and contains a wealth of information on products and services offered. In addition to providing a comprehensive resource for emergency service professionals, the site offers an insight into other applications, and guidance to professionals looking to make the most of thermal imaging technology.

e2v has been designing thermal imaging cameras for over thirty years and were the first to introduce the technology to the fire and rescue market back in the 1980s. With many major technological breakthroughs since that time, the latest addition to the range of Argus cameras, able to satisfy the exacting requirements of today’s global emergency services, is the Argus4 HR320.

Commenting on the new website, Gordon MacSween, e2v’s divisional director RF & sensors, said " As we deliver the 1000th Argus4 camera, what better time to expand the range of cameras available, and launch this new site designed to help the world’s emergency services get the most from our thermal imaging technology?”

About Argus cameras
Argus cameras are designed to the highest specifications to instill confidence in emergency services personnel as they tackle dangerous situations to rescue life and property. Argus cameras allow firefighters to see through smoke, identify and rescue casualties and locate hot spots or the seat and spread of a fire. They aid police and security forces to apprehend criminals and gather evidence, saving lives and property in the process. Argus cameras have many further applications where temperatures require monitoring, such as preventative maintenance, and condition monitoring of equipment. They can also provide vision where light is unavailable.

Argus4 thermal imaging cameras are extremely light, weighing less than 3lbs (1.3kg). They come packed with the most advanced features available on the market today. Argus4 cameras come with up to x4 zoom, 13 colour settings and a picture capture facility capable of taking up to 100 pictures, which can be stored and then downloaded to a PC/Laptop through a USB cable for quicker transfer.

The Argus4 HR32O has been designed using advanced digital imaging technology for a sharper picture and provides superior performance.
