e2v employees raise over £5000 for charities

e2v’s Chelmsford based employees have raised a total of £4000 for Little Havens Children’s Hospice, Essex Air Ambulance and Farleigh Hospice.

The money was raised through various events during the year and through the employee lottery. The events included a football competition between the company’s European sites, won by Chelmsford’s apprentice team, hamper raffles and a photo competition.

Dawn Kelso, of e2v’s Charities Committee, is pictured presenting one of the cheques to Nezda Blythe of Essex Air Ambulance.

In addition to this money, e2v's employees at its other sites have also been working hard to raise money for their local charities, including £1000 in Lincoln shared between  St Barnabas hospice, Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Lincoln Air Ambulance and $280 donated to a cancer sufferers' support charity near to our New York office.

Andy Bennett, Chair of e2v’s Charity committee commented: “There has been a huge amount of effort put in by our employees and the members of the Charities Committee to raise this money and we know that these donations will be put to good use by the charities”.
