e2v donates £7,500 to global charities

e2v, the global provider of technology solutions for high performance systems, has donated £3750 each to SOS Children’s Villages and Fauna & Flora International.

e2v has joined the SOS Children’s Villages Family Strengthening Programme in Chipata, Zambia where the construction of an entire new Children’s village, nursery school, community school and medical centre are also underway. SOS Children's Villages works with communities and local partners to support disadvantaged families across the world. Its family strengthening programmes are aimed according to local circumstances at special target groups such as single mothers, families that have been affected by HIV/AIDS or families with financial problems that are often linked to addiction, illness and exclusion.

e2v has also joined the Fauna & Flora International (FFI) Friends Against Extinction group, committed to conserving our precious natural heritage, for today and for the future. FFI acts to conserve threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, guiding people into choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on sound science and taking into account human needs

Andy Bennett Chair of e2v’s Charities Committee commented, “Our employees do a great deal to help charities local to our facilities and close to their own hearts. These donations are a way of supporting their ideals about family support and environmental awareness at a global level and we are delighted to be able to support both of these organisations with those aims’.
