e2v and its employees donate over £11,000 to local charities

e2v and Essex Air Ambulance
e2v and its Chelmsford and Lincoln based employees have donated a total of £11,625 to charities and good causes. Over £6,600 was raised by employees, with the remaining £5,000 coming from the e2v foundation.

The money raised by employees came from a variety of events run throughout the year, including the employee lottery, football competition, book & DVD library, sale of surplus IT equipment, cake baking and events held at the company’s whoosh! learning centre.

The e2v foundation is a separate fund financed by e2v and managed by the Essex Community Foundation, where the interest made each year is donated to good causes. 5 separate donations were made this year, including to Riding for the Disabled and Home Start, an organisation which helps young families in difficulties.

The money raised by employees has benefited 6 charitable organisations close to e2v’s sites: Little Havens Children’s Hospice, Essex and Lincoln Air Ambulance, St Barnabus Hospice, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Farleigh Hospice.

Andy Bennett Chair of e2v’s Charities Committee commented, “These central donations are really only the tip of the iceberg. Our people support and raise money for charities and good causes close to their own hearts day in and day out, demonstrating their generosity and strong desire to help charitable causes within their communities.”
